It's hard to believe that someone is complaining about $15 for all the new functionality of After Dark, but then I'm not on the tight budget many students are on. Still, you don't HAVE TO upgrade. Companies that publish software could just do one version, sell it, and sit back and collect the money without doing anymore to it. Would that be better? If you want software to be upgraded, don't you think you should have to pay something to have the authors continue to work for you? I mean, they have families and living expenses too. As someone said, just distributing upgrades for $15 is getting close to break-even cost. There are a lot of expenses you don't take into consideration until you go into business for yourself. Even Adobe's $150 upgrade wasn't that bad for all the stuff you got. Just my reactions. Shirley Kehr
