I just got a copy of a public domain driver for the HP deskjet (I'm trying to connect one to a Mac IIcx) Unfortunately, the documentation was in WriteNow (Why?) and I haven't been able to decipher it. Has anyone been able to get this driver to work? I dragged it into the system folder & fixed the settings, but when I try to print, nothing happens. I've written to the authors in Finland, but so far there's been no response. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Adam Peller peller@cunixf.cc.columbia.edu

The driver allows you to print to a special "batch" file which can later be printed when you're away from the computer. Since it can take a long time for a standard DeskJet to dump out multiple 300 DPI pages, it's not something you generally want to wait for if there are more than, say, eight pages.
