I am running into a problem with using the Apple Scanner on a MacIIx with 32 bit Quickdraw installed in the system folder. When I save PICT files from AppleScan, I can not get them to read into any other application, including SuperPaint, MacWrite II, and Adobe Illustrator. When I pull the 32 bit QD init out of my system folder (System 6.05), the same PICT files can be read successfully. Is there a patch to either AppleScan or to 32 bit QD that will get around having to continually restart the system with/without the QD init. Note: 32 bit quickdraw is required to use our SuperMac Spectrum/24 video card. This problem was reproduced on a Mac IIcx. Thanks, Richard Hale
