Hi. I am having problems updating the Desktop, when I attempt to update it, GateKeeper vetoes my attempt. It gives me the following message: GateKeeper has vetoed an attempt by Finder to violate "Res(Other)" privileges against Desktop. [AddResource(ADBS,0)] What does this mean?? Even when I turn GateKeeper off, it still gives me the same message. Should I ignore the message and remove it from the Systems folder and re-attempt updating the Desktop? The version of GateKeeper is 1.1.1 of 26-Jun-89. Thanks for any help. Juana

>GateKeeper has vetoed an attempt by Finder to violate "Res(Other)" >privileges against Desktop. [AddResource(ADBS,0)] Somewhere on your disk, you've got a copy of Adobe Separator (part of the Adobe Illustrator package). The creator code for Adobe Separator is ADBS, which, coincidentally, is also a valid resource type located in the System file. Gatekeeper is flagging the ADBS bundle/creator info as something "suspicious" going on. To solve the problem, either trash Adobe Separator from your disk, or disable Gatekeeper temporarily while you rebuild your desktop.
