I believe that there is a means of making a LaserWriter selectively 'invisible' to the Chooser. We would like to have some control, like this, which would restrict access to selected users on our local network. This has become more urgent with the recent expansion of our University network. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. John Traeger Chemistry Dept., La Trobe University, Victoria, AUSTRALIA (E-mail: GAUJCT@LATVAX8.LAT.OZ)

In-Reply-To: message from GAUJCT@latvax8.lat.oz There is a shareware init available on the net called "ChooserUser" which restricts access to the chooser without the correct password. Once the controls are set, when the user selects the chooser, it cannot be changed. If the person goes to the control panel (oops, it is a C/Dev) and selects the icon, s/he must enter a password to access the ChooserUser Settings. I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, or if it will help, but that is my $.02 worth....
