My father just bought a scanner and I told
him that I may be able to find out the
correct frequencies for listening to railroad
type conversations. I am interested in the
numbers for the Phila., PA and all areas
between Phila. and N.Y.C.

Thanks, Rick

The following is the railroad listing from my 1979 book of radio frequencies.
The book covers the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire,
New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. I would suspect that if any of the listed

use in other states.

Is there anybody out there in the Chicago area who has some frequencies
for the railroads there. I am particularly interested in EJ&E, Burlington
Northern, and C&NW in the western suburbs. When I bought my scanner, there
was an advertisement for Betty bearcat's guide. Does anyone know if this is
as good as the Rail Scanner guide that I've seen advertised in Trains magazine?
