I have been reading with interest the discussion about phone number
transmission when dialling other numbers. However, I find it surprising
that the problem of unlisted phones has attracted so much attention without
someone suggesting a solution. It's quite simple: unlisted phones send a
special code indicating "call from unlisted phone is arriving". The
owner of the unlisted phone also has a button or mode available on the phone
which can allow it to send the unlisted number if they so choose.
Of course, all phones could also have the feature "return call to last (or Nth)
caller" if numbers were transmitted.
Keep this going ... maybe it will speed up development of these systems....
