How can i print on a DeskJet Plus from my Mac II?

You need to get two things: 1. A cable to go from the Mac printer port to the DeskJet. 2. Driver software. You can get both if you buy MacPrint (I can't remember the name of the publishing company). Another available driver package is either Grappler or Grappler LX. I have no experience with either Grappler package, and do not know if they come with cables. The version of MacPrint I got was essentially written for the LaserJet product line, but the LaserJet IID driver worked reasonably well for me. However, I could never seem to get the Mac to take advantage of the 300dpi resolution of the DeskJet Plus; nor could I seem to get the Mac to take advantage of the DeskJet Plus' internal fonts. The driver also seemed a bit slow...sigh. BTW, I sold my DeskJet Plus to a PC owner and bought a DeskWriter. A ***MUCH*** BETTER SOLUTION. Good Luck!! Mike "HP-makes-a-personal-computer?"
