I am attempting to use an external hard drive to maintain mirror image drives on two separate macs. Diskfit seems to work pretty well. However quickeys, suitcase, boomerang and disk express do not work on the second drive after backup because of changed directory id numbers of backed up files. For example, suitcase has forgotten my suitcases. Boomerang has forgotten my current files. Etc. This is despite the fact that the two disk have identical names and scsi id numbers. Does anyone have a good method for maintaining mirrored image drives?
