I have a Mac2cx that won't boot from the startup drive anymore. It comes up with an error that the desktop is damaged. When trying to rebuild the desktop during booting (option and command keys depressed), a dialog box comes up and says that the desktop cannot be rebuilt. I'd rather not reformat this hard disk. We were running system 6.05. Is there any other way of rebuilding or deleting the old desktop? e-mail suggestions would be appreciated. Jeff Kulp kulp@cs.nps.navy.mil
