System 6.0.7 is availible via anonymous ftp at apple.com. One
would assume that the various sound drivers for the new microphone are
included with that distribution.

An interesting sidenote - System 6.0.7 is being distributed
on 2 -high density- 3.5" disks, although the version on apple.com seems
to be broken up into 4 800k disks.

Please note the crosspost to c.s.m.system, and followup accordingly.

in "read-me" (or alike) on the ftp site, all super-drive machine are
bundled with 2 2HD's, but upgrade kit consits of 4 2DD's. So the disk
images on the ftp site should be from the 2DD version.

I just downloaded 6.0.7 lastnight, and poking in the System with ResEdit
reveals an AppleSoundInput DRVR. (I asked for the Mac IIci installation, so
I guess that means that the driver makes it into even machines that don't
have built-in mics.)
