Here's the info I got from a local users' group.
(1) The upgrade from HyperCard 1.2.x to 2.0 is free; you should be
able to get it at your friendly dealer. This is just the
program and stacks (5 disks); of course, documentation is extra
(and from what I've seen of HC 2.0 it might be worth getting the
whole package--they're charging $35 at the place I checked).
(2) HyperCard 2.0 requires System 6.0.5 or later, but doesn't need
6.0.7.
(3) HyperCard versions before 2.0 will not work reliably under
System 6.0.7. (Sounds are known to cause problems; I don't
know of any other things offhand.) It's probably worth taking
the time to go get the upgrade.
Hopefully, all of this is accurate; I'm mostly just repeating what
I've been told.
