[Forgive me if this has been discussed before (long newsgroup layoff, blah blah blah)] I've noticed a strange conflict between Word (4.00b) and Type Reunion: when Type Reunion is loaded, Word can't find the Standard Glossary. It creates its own default glossary, and when you open that up in order to open up your own Standard Glossary, it starts looking in the main directory (all my Word files are in one folder, and that folder appears in the main directory) rather than in the folder where Word is. Weird, non? By the way, Word does remember where the dictionary and hypenator are. It's just the Standard Glossary. And I am pretty sure about Type Reunion being the problem: when I first noticed this problem, I 1) got rid of my old Word Settings(4) file; 2) re-built my desktop; 3) got rid of Desktop Manager and re-built again; and finally 4) used init cdev to weed out the nasty Type Reunion. Oh yes, and I did toss the Type Reunion data file; that did no good either. Does anyone have any clue? -- I am, most sincerely, charles s. geiger, esq. "Down with all kings but King Ludd" -- Byron
