After installing system 6.07 and HyperCard 2.0 on my IIci, I found that the new HC wouldn't run (it would open, but mouse clicks would get passed to the Finder, and all HC was doing was messing up the screen). A bit of sifting and numerous restarts isolated the problem to the NeXT-color-WDEF init (version 1.2 of "Eric's WDEF with NeVR INIT", or something like that). A previous version of the same init (version 1.0) gives the same result. Too bad - I much prefer the NeXT-style window decorations, but at least it's aesthetics rather than functionality that I have to give up. Anybody know another init that does (NeXT) windows, and that coexists with HC 2.0? Steve Anderson <anderson@sapir.cog.jhu.edu>

I don't know if it works with HC2, but WindChooser's 'Erik's WDEF' is similar, in fact, the basis for the color one. After using the color one I went back to this one, which I prefer. It also has three other WDEF's, one of which is NeXT-ish also. Available on sumex. Mark Lanett

The "Erik's WDEF" from WindChooser has the same problem with 6.0.7/HC2.0 as its successor, the NeXT-color-WDEF. Steve Anderson
