when I get video death on my main screen, with eight little mini-screens appearing on the top of my monitor, as if the software was writing directly to video memory under some assumption that it was monochrome. And somehow the video card gets reset from monochrome mode into color mode. Problem is, I can't read anything on those eight little mini-screens, & I can't tell if A/UX came up & I can't do anything but cold boot, and even that doesn't work very well (seems the SCSI system gets well and truly confounded and will not boot until I mess with it for a while as in plugging and unplugging moving the terminator around and trial booting. Bleeagggh). So... Here are the particulars Mac IIfx (upgrade) PCPC 8-bit video board, set in monochrome mode via Control Panel 1024 x 768 (this board is similar to SuperMac) 19" color monitor (Sony is OEM) Apple Monochrome video board & monitor CD-ROM, 3 hard disks, & a Microtek scanner in the SCSI chain.
