Just got a new Mac IIsi (5/40) with the 13" Color Monitor running System 6.0.7.......Its great! But I am having some problems with strange filename. When I double-click on a folder (or file) the file name is deleted and something (not me) starts typing `/////' until the system tilts with an error message saying something about too many chars in the file name. I tried messing with the Control Panel keyboard repeat settings and can't seem to find the right setting to stop this weirdness. (BTW, I am using the Apple Extended Keyboard) Any suggestions on how I can stop this weirdness. Never had this kind of problem with my old Mac+. Dick Kriss

If there were a list of "most common problems" in the comp.sys.mac.* newsgroups, this would have to be pretty close to the top! The problem is simple: you've got a stuck key. As soon you start editing a text field, the stuck key starts repeatedly feeding keystrokes into it. Remember that when you click on an icon in the Finder and start typing, the Finder assumes that you want to replace the name of the icon.
