Thanks to everyone for your responses conerning my 6.0.7 problems. I think some of the responses might be helpful and of interest to those who are using 6.0.7. In summary, there's proably nothing wrong with 6.0.7. >>1) Copy File is broken. Put a floppy in the drive and try copying a >>file from your hard disk to the floppy. Make sure that the file you >>are copying is LARGER than the capacity of the target floppy. >>Dragging the file to the floppy starts the copy and the system >>complains that the disk is full. So far so good. Click "Cancel." >>The copy is terminated but the files(s) on the floppy are removed!!! A couple netlanders tried this out and were unable to duplicate the problem. I tried it again myself and now *I* can't duplicate the this behavior either. Damnation. I must have run into some kind of transitory init conflict. I hope. >>2) Set Aside is gone. Why would Apple remove a perfectly decent >>feature with the utility that Set Aside had? This was the one reason >>that I upgraded to the new beta version of MultiFinder. >Set Aside was never there. MultiFinder 6.1b7 and 6.1b9 are NOT >beta versions of some future system software - they're meant to >be used when debugging with SADE. You can still use them with >6.0.7 however. So in other words, no distributed version of MultiFinder contains the feature "Set Aside." At least it will appear in System 7.0 ... yay! I still encounter the occasional crash which I didn't have problems with in the previous system, however I'm not going to worry about this until a consistant pattern of behavior crops up.
