[comp.sys.mac.system] INITShare ^ 2

cayz@udel.edu (James Cayz) (11/15/90)

Howdy All,

I am using INITShare, which is a great init which allows users to
change their system folder upon startup so that inits and cdevs can be kept on
a Server, instead of on the floppy disk. Simple reason why: We only have 800K
floppy disks as 'startup' disks, but have (or will have Real Soon) 2.5M memory.

Works fine, except that each user has to have their own set of the
'common' inits, such as Moire, MacTCP, etc., since not everyone wants the same
estoteric inits (I like Next_WDEF, Ms. XYZ does not, etc).

So, I would like to have a folder that has all the 'common' inits that
_everyone_ would get, then, individual folders for the individual's inits...

Any "Hints / Tips" on how to do this is greatly appreciated... Please
reply _directly_ to me, a summary will be provided to anyone requesting, or to
the net if enough "summary requests" are received.

	Thanx in Advance
	James
