I am currently considering purchasing a Mac IIsi, but I have a few questions for some current owners. 1. Will the si support A/UX? 2. With A/UX and X windows, will the si run like a pig (ie. should I go ci)? I'd appreciate any response to these questions as well as comments about the general level of satisfaction among current users. Also, if anyone is currently using an si for MIDI, I would really like to know what your configuration is and how the si performs for that purpose. Thanks in advance! jim basara uunet!ssdc!jbasara "Be excellent to each other" - Bill & Ted

in article <602@ssdc?>, jbasara@ssdc (jim basara) says: > > 1. Will the si support A/UX? Since the finder shell under A/UX is 6.0.5 and the si wants 6.0.7 you will have to wait to run Mac apps under the finder partition. Apple engineers at a past seminar said it was being worked on. --Mark.

The IIsi will be supported by A/UX 2.0.1, which is due to go into Beta in a week or two. Expect to see it sometime between February and April. It is _not_ possible to use the si with A/UX 2.0.
