I am having this *extremely* bizarre problem. I am running a Syquest 45MB removable with SilverSeerver drivers (under system 6.0.5). Occasionally, with no consistent precursors that I can figure, the desktop in the finder will just dissaper! All of the files and folders that were there just go away. BUT: 1. Even though there is now only 1 file (or none) listed on the window, the disk is listed as having 20MB in it (the previous size), and 2. When I try to copy the files that were on the Syquest back onto it (if I still have them), the finder tells me that it can't do it becuase a file with that name already exists. I really need to recover these lost files.
