I believe what was implied in those docs was that Hypercard 2.0 requires 6.0.7,
not the reverse.

Yes, I upgraded to 6.0.7 almost right away, and my old (pre-2.0) version of
Hypercard worked fine. I have since upgraded to 2.0, and like it fairly well.

Hypercard 2.0 is not free. One must pay for it.

Hope this all helps..

I interpreted the docs slightly differently. I believe that they said that
Hypercard 2.0 will requires system 6.0.7, not the other way around.

Yes. I had pre 2.0 on my 6.0.7 system until about 1 week ago.

Hypercard 2.0 is NOT free.

Hope this helps...

You can buy HC 2.0, the complete release version sans manuals, from
BMUG (Berkeley Macintosh User's Group) for $15. Which is a good deal.
Of course you don't get the manuals, but you can buy many third-party
HyperCard manuals for cheaper than the extra $35, that do a better job
than the Apple manuals will ever dream of doing.

Try to beat that, BCS!!

It should be added that this offer is only good through December 31, 1990.
Our license to distribute HyperCard 2.0 runs out on that date, and it
is uncertain whether or under what circumstances Apple/Claris will extend
it. My best guess is that they probably won't.

Also, we need to charge $3 for shipping on mail orders; it's $15 if you
get it from us in person.

For further info, please call BMUG at 415-549-2684 during normal West
Coast business hours -- whatever they are :-).
