[comp.sys.mac.system] LWII on Ethernet - How???

jtt@cunixd.cc.columbia.edu (James T. Tanis) (01/03/91)

I'd like to hook a LWII NTX up to a bunch of IIFXs on ethernet. Can this be
done? I'd rather avoid expensive and kludgey solutions like a NetSerial or
a router just for the LW.

Help!

I just saw an ad today for a box from the whoever makes the NetModem
(Shiva?) for something called EtherPrint, which purports to do just
that, for about $450.

Try the Dayna EtherPrint, $495 list, at better mail-order and computer
dealers everywhere. Cheap and simple, compared to NetSerial or router/gateway.

Isn't Liaison (a router) cheaper than EtherPrint?

Cheaper, yes - Liason is $315 at ComputerWare, EtherPrint is $450
(no endorsement implied - the price list was handy).

Simpler, NO. You pays your money...
