Typing Y to exit setup mode causes the terminal to start running diagnostics.
It does this continually until some key is held down, then it stops.
Setup line D contains a field into which the terminal puts an error code
indicating which diagnostics, if any, failed. I suppose this mode is useful
for detecting intermittent memory errors. -IAN! U of Waterloo
