I recently purchased an 80MB Cutting Edge external hard disk, which I divided into two partitions using the software that came with the disk. All was well until I rebooted. The computer would only mount the partition containing the system folder. The second partition was nowhere to be found. I was able to mount the second partition using Disk First Aid (or whatever Apple's little ambulance is called). ambulance is called). Firstly, does anybody know why the partition without the system folder, and can somebody please tell me what to do about it. Secondly, I would like to know more about third party partitioning and formatting software. I would like to have partitioning software that lets me password-protect my partitions and lest me resize them dynamically without erasing everything in sight. I would also like it to mount partitions automatically. _____________________________________ ____________________________________ | David Byers ||SnailMail: David Byers | | Linkoping Institute of Technology || Ryds Alle 9:204 | | || S-58251 Linkoping | | c90davby@odalix.ida.liu.se || SWEDEN | | byers@nanny.lysator.liu.se || | `-------------------------------------'`------------------------------------' -- _____________________________________ ____________________________________ | David Byers ||SnailMail: David Byers | | Linkoping Institute of Technology || Ryds Alle 9:204 | | || S-58251 Linkoping | | c90davby@odalix.ida.liu.se || SWEDEN | | byers@nanny.lysator.liu.se || | `-------------------------------------'`------- New SnailMail Address ------'
