I would like to know the purpose of the Desktop DB and Desktop DF files. They reside on both my 6.0.5 and 7.0b1 hard disks. The DB file is 30k in size with the DF file being about 195k, The main desktop file is 64.5k. Are these some kind of directory backup for trashed main desktop files? If I remove them the system seems to work OK but they reappear later on. Any help will be appreciated. If you throw them away, DM will rebuild them.
