When I use the System 7.0b1 Chooser to locate printers on my campus LocalTalk network, everything's peachy. But when I click on the AppleShare icon and begin to search for fileservers, none of them appear, and after a few seconds of searching, my machine will hang. I'm using a Macintosh SE with 2.5M of memory. I've isolated the problem; it only happens when I have MacTCP 1.0.1 active. This could be a bug in 7.0b1 ;) but I've had problems with MacTCP before, and it sounds odd that the Chooser would be the culprit. Has anyone successfully gotten MacTCP to work with System 7? Is there some special way it must be set up, or some special place it must be put? If not, I guess I'll have to wait until the (next beta?) release of System 7!
