We've looked into filters of various kinds:
	tiny venetian blinds (e.g. 3M)
granular surface diffusion (e.g. DEC & many other)
optical filters (coated to allow only frequencies from phosphor out)
The latter is the most effective glare reduction device,
but it has the disadvantage of smudging badly whenever someone touches
it. Personal preference varies considerably, too. I suggest you
get a set of several varieties and let everyone try out the different
ones, then pick one to have permanently. Not everbody even WANTS
to have glare reduced.
