Dear World, Please forgive me if this has been beaten to death elsewhere, but how does one get around the NO MORE WINDOWS CAN BE OPENED limit? Even under Finder (i.e. MultiFinder off) and 8Mb of memory, I can't seem to get more than a dozen windows open at one time (Sys 6.0.5; Finder 6.1.5). Well, grab your copy of ResEdit, open up the finder, choose the LAYO resource, scroll to the end, where the box says maximum # of open windows, and give yourself as many as you want (default is 13, I use like 36 -- of course I am a slob). As always, do this on a copy of the finder (not the original!!!) --> --> Dale UVa (ds4a@virginia.edu)
