A question: After installing TrueType (6.0.7, 4M Plus) I attempted to print out a one-page document of mine that contained several variations of Times (10-14 point type, italics, boldface). Using the new printer drivers (6.1) I got an 804K file. With LaserWriter 5.2 and 6.0, the standard 8K PS file was generated. All printed OK on the printer (LW+) upstairs. My question: why rasterize the TrueType fonts for a postscript file when all the previous laserwriter drivers assumed that they were resident in the printer? How can I reduce the size of my PS files without going back to the old printer drivers? Any input would be appreciated!
