hi, just to clean a slight missunderstanding: I suppose you meant if you still have a use for appleshare since there is personal filesharing. The answer is yes because there is a limit of simultaneously connected users in the personal filesharing. However you can use personal filesharing to run a bbs on your local machine or something alike. hope that helps. Oliver.

Also, machines running 6.x and AppleShare can access the disks of System 7.0 machines with Personal FileShare. - David
