Pity me. I have lived all my life in a drab existence of black-and-white monitors, knowing that color finally existed out on the Mac, but having not the $$ to go out and change my station. Well, I just upgraded my SE/30 to color via a RasterOps 24-bit colorboard and an Apple color monitor, and a whole new world awaits me. My question: What color software should every good color weenie have for his color Macintosh? I'm not looking for application so much as utilities -- CDEVs, INITs and the like for applying color to the basic functions of one's color Mac. (Though the gee-whiz golly-wow stuff is of interest, as well.) Two points: * I'm interested in both PD and purchase software. * I'm *especially* interested in utilities which combine the functionality of several other color utilities. For instance, I understand there are several color utilities that combine the function of Kolor and other color utilties under "one roof". As to applications, I figured I'd pick up MacCheese, as it seems like a reasonably priced color paint program for the dabbler, and I like the work Delta Tao has released in the past (i.e. SPACEWARD HO! and STRATEGIC CONQUEST. (The *real* reasons I got a color monitor. :-) )) Probably should upgrade my copy of SimCity, too. *sigh* PS Any comments on problems/tricks to getting color applications to run on SE/30s with color monitors would be appreciated. "So what happens?" "At 0700 hours tomorrow morning, my shutdown disk will be activated, and all mental and physical operations will cease." "And then what?" "I don't know -- maybe I'll get a job as a disc jockey."
