Thanks to everyone who responded to my querry about EtherTalk 1 and Sys 7. It turns out that the problem was with my card driver and not with EtherTalk. We are using Novell(Shiva now actually) Etherport II cards. The drivers for theses cards are currently not compatable with Sys 7. I talked to Shiva tech support, not an easy task since they seem never to return your calls, and they siad that there would probably be an update for their EtherPort IIi cards within a month. For all those of us who are unlucky enough to have the older EtherPort IIn cards the future is not so clear. There is nothing currently underway at Shiva that would solve the incompatability problems. The Tech support guy did say that there was recently a discussion about this on AppleLink and that someone had posted a ResEdit hack, uh um work-around, for this prob. I have looked through all of the possible locations I could think of to look for it in. If any one has seen it could they please send me email with the path. Thanx again.
