Hi, Is there any way of keeping users from booting a macintosh under the regular finder so that they cannot switch launch their finder and so bypass the system on the hard disk? I always boot off a hard disk under multifinder. I know there is security software for macs so that you can control access to the macs, but a weak point tends to be that if the mac is rebooted under single finder, a user can just change the startup volume and circumvent the security system. This is why I'm looking for methods of disabling startup switching. Is there anything that will either make the mac ignore any initial keys held down during startup(so will always end up under multifinder) or any way of disabling the various methods of startup switching? Send mail to me, I'll summarize to the group if I get enough ideas.... edgar@pangea.stanford.edu
