[comp.sys.mac.system] Stopping StartupPage on Laser

gpay@eniac.seas.upenn.edu (Geoffrey Pay) (04/17/91)

Is there anyone who knows the cmd to stop a Personal Laserwriter NT from
printing a startup page every time it powers up? The manual mentions one
but I've been unable to locate it. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx gpay@eniac.seas.upenn.edu

BTW, can you ship the laserw w/ the toner cartridge inside? I just in-
stalled a new toner and I have to ship it in about a month.

Don't know about the toner, but you can disable the starting page using the
Laserwriter Font Utilities version 6.1. It should have come with the
printer, if not it is on Apple.com as a disk image.

Get a copy of the latest version of Apple's Font Download Utility (the one
that shipped with the TrueType stuff). In addition to other new features,
it now allows you to turn on and off the startup page.
