We are currently using A.M.E. (Access Managed Environment) from Casady and Greene. Its running on the several networked Macs we have out in public access areas. While it's every bit as powerful and dangerous as you've probably heard (see also the recent MacUser review), we're on the whole pretty happy with it (although waiting for a few features we hope are in the works for the next version). I recently got a flyer in the mail for Empower from Magna. Empower II seems to do a lot of the same things we're using A.M.E. for. I don't know that Empower II would be cheaper (we're already getting a site license rate from Casady & Greene), but I'm curious if anyone has done a comparison of the two (especially recently, since it looks like Empower has recently upgraded to v4.0). Info/comments? I'll answer A.M.E. questions to the best of my limited ability, but I'm not the one who set up our A.M.E. installations (although he's leaving, and I have to soak up what he knows before he gets out the door(-: ).
