[comp.sys.mac.system] TrueType on a Classic - ????

rcook@ncsa.uiuc.edu (Robert Cook) (04/26/91)

Can someone explain to me the benefits of TrueType for someone not (yet)
concerned about print quality. I have no printer at the moment, but plan to
get a StyleWriter as soon at Apple or the University of Illinois or whoever
gets it on the Educational price list. I just installed TT on my Classic and
can see no difference in screen fonts. Am I doing something wrong?
Any help appreciated.

Go into your word processor and using a TT font like Times increase
the font size to 127 points. You'll immediately see the difference
between that and any other non TT font. NO JAGGIES!
