I have been hearing that System 7 VM will not work on 030 accelerator cards added to an SE (but Virtual appears to work). Does anybody know why this should be the case and will it be correctable in the future (by the accelerator manufactures modifing their software?). Does System 7 VM expect the ROMs to be of a particular type (how different are the 256K ROMs in the SE, II (an 020 + 551 machine) and IIx? Is anybody running System 7 (with or without VM) on an 030 accelerated SE? Have you run into any problems? Inquiring minds want to know :-) E-mail me or post replies. Virtual Memory Support is not possible on Macs without the ROM routines to support them. In short, No VM on Macs without updated ROMS on the Plus or 512Ke. As for the SE, II, and IIx, I haven't a clue. (More clueless than usual :-)
