I phoned our local AppleCentre yesterday afternoon (May 13th), not expecting much success. Guess what? System 7 will not be available to the UK user from the dealer (this dealer, at least! - AppleCentre Solent) until JUNE 26th. A 'beta' version (I was told) was being demonstrated at dealers, but not the final. The Personal upgrade set (incl manuals) will cost 50 pounds The Group upgrade set will cost 125 pounds. Each AppleCentre will have to make a policy decision as to whether to allow the software to be copied freely without the manuals. They seemed rather reluctant to be definite about this. Oh well.
