Well, I've finally installed System 7.0 final on my system (IIsi, 5 Mb RAM, 40 Mb HD), and it's really great! Granted that I've been using 7.0b4 for the past month or so, but the final version is much more responsive and the system is now back to the speed it used to be under 6.0.7 (almost :) ) Great job, guys!!! (p.s. I would like to thank the guys at Apple who'd put up with the bunch of us on the net this past few weeks) One thing about the fonts though. I've noticed this from 7.0b4, that Chicago (sfnt, and 12 point) has the same font id as two of the fonts from Courier. The only way I managed to solve the font conflict problem was to renumber the Chicago fonts (this was when I was using 7.0b4). I did the same to the fonts on the Fonts disk for the 7.0 final before installation just to avoid any problems. Is this something that the system takes care of when installing the fonts or will it just show up funny when Courier is selected (only two fonts are affected)? This was what happened under 7.0b4. Anyway, I like it!! T. C. Wan Grad Student, Univ. of Miami. P.S. The startup screen with the Apple logo and 7.0 in gray is great too :)
