Can anyone shed some light on the CD-ROM woes I'm having with my recently acquired CD Tech PortaDrive?. I got the thing just a day or two after I installed 7.0 into the mac. There seem to be two problems. 1. CD Tech's CDEV driver seems to choke up under 7.0. Selecting it from the control panels menu (folder?) causes the CDEV window to open for literally one second, after which it promptly exits back to the finder. 2. The foreigh access files included w/the drive (i.e. ISO, High Sierra, Audio, Foreign Access, etc) crash the machine on bootup if 32-bit addressing is on. Any advice on these? The CD Tech people don't seem to be of much help. I've been told there is a new set of those foreign access files around, but I can't locate them on apple.com or on CI$, nor are they on the system 7 floppies. Any ideas, folks? Please e-mail responses and I'll summarize if appropriate. I can't keep up with the traffic on the mac groups. Thanx. -- Gabe Wiener - Columbia Univ.
