[comp.sys.mac.system] Installing 7.0 problem

Well, I seem to have gotten a little further with my installation of
system 7.0.
Maybe one of you can shed some light on this.
I reformatted my APS Pro 105 hard drive in order to install s7.0.
The installation seems to work, but on the 1st reboot, it tries to
rebuild the desktop and fail roughly 1/5 of the way through. (Select light on
the drive comes on and remains on until I reboot (to a floppy of course)
Is there anyone who uses an APS drive that had similar problems? APS say's
they haven't heard of the problem, but haven't completely checked sys 7.0
compatability.
Could it be that System 7.0 writes to a sector that 6.0.7 doesn't and fails
when the rebuilding tries to access this sector?
And could this sector be faulty on my drive?
Any ideas or thoughts greatly appreciated.
