I had a bad dream last night. It had to do with my girlfriend's brother and some experimental military hardware, but the upshot was I woke up at 8:05 am EST and didn't feel like sleeping. My eyes happened to wander over to the ol' Mac on my desk and a thought knocked on the back of my cerebrum: why, this might be the perfect time to ftp into bric-a-brac! Apparently, a lot of people had late nights, so now I have 6+ megs of binhex4'ed image files and license agreements sitting in my unix directory, waiting for me to decode them tomorrow. This is a public show of gratitude for those who made this possible: To Mark Johnson and all at Apple who worked on or with the System 7.0 release, your commitment to the Macintosh community is a sight to behold. There isn't another computer company around which listens to its customers as much, and you all are examples of the foresight Apple shows in hiring the best people it can get (management reorganizations aside :-). I've owned a Mac since August 1984, and I'll keep on putting my savings into Apple's coffers, as long as people like you work there to make sure it's well spent. Now I think I'll just relax to the sounds of Elvis Costello's latest... mornin' all! Derek L. -- lowly college senior and seven-year Apple groupie -- + + "When nothing else remains, one must scream.
