[comp.sys.mac.system] system 7, first impressions

I like it, of course. The best part about having system 7 is that I
no longer feel compelled to check ftp.apple.com at odd hours of the
night. Some comments. I'll try not to repeat what's been said before.

* I made some aliases in the Apple Menu Items folder to programs on a
different volume. The icons disappeared after I rebuilt the
  desktop.

* Balloon help is nice, but I wish they offered different levels of
help. I imagine something which would show me only application
specific balloons. This would complicate the interface, but it
would allow me to get help on, say, Microsoft Excel without getting
balloons I don't need like, "Close Box: To close this window, click
here." Maybe a "Ballon Help Preferences..." menu item?

* Icon colorization is done very nicely. Is there any reason it
colorizes B/W icons in the old fashion?

* One bomb. The new finder lets you open up old systems as suitcases,
but it seems to crash when you try to do something to it. I tried
opening my 6.0.5 system file and pull out a font, and the machine
  hung.
