We are accustomed to shrinking the spacing between icons in system 5.x and 6.x. By modifying the finder's LAYO resource, screen real-estate can be used much more efficiently. On our SE/030 icons are placed on a 48*48 grid, rather than 64*64, doubling the number of icons that will fit in a window. How do you get this feature in system 7.0? It is especially important for those of us stuck with small-screen macintoshes. These macintoshes are currently Apple's best-selling machines, so surely Apple must have provided for this ability in system 7.0.
