[comp.sys.mac.system] NanoDisk and 7.0 Virtual Memory

pejacoby@mmm.serc.3m.com (Paul E. Jacoby) (05/20/91)

Just to add to bug/incompatibility reports, I've found that NanoDisk II
2.1 from Technology Works will not run with virtual-memory turned on
under System 7.0. Works fine on my SE/30 (8 meg, dual 105 HD's, 13"
color [24-bit]) as long as VM is off. Turning VM on causes the INIT not
to load (puts up it's 'mem' icon).

I spoke with them about this last week. They hadn't viewed NanoDisk II
as a System 7 product, but they've been getting quite a few inquiries
from users who want to use it... so they are planning to put out a
7-compatible version once they wrap up another project-in-progress and
free up the necessary programmer(s).
