[net.bugs] readnews after hangup

We are having a problem with 'readnews' (b).  If a 'readnews -p' is
done, it can't be stopped by either INTERRUPT or HANGUP.  We are
on UNIX System III.  Before I try to figure this out, has someone
already developed a fix for this?
