Yet another plea for help... (hope I'm not asking too stupid a question) I installed system 7 on my mac IIsi (105M/5M) last night. I pretty much stripped all the inits out since its standalone with no printer. Unfortunately, when I turned on the Virtual Memory (giving it the recommended amount of space on the harddrive which had more than enough space) and rebooted, I got the " 'System' Illegal Instruction - reboot with shift..." message. If I reboot with the extensions off, its okay. I then turn off the VM and it reboots just fine. So, is the problem obvious, or can anyone tell me where to start looking? Like I said, I don't have any INITs runnings (to my knowledge). One other question. Is there a way to turn the cache off? ParcPlace Smalltalk won't run with the cache turned on (gives a message to that effect), but I'd bet it would work just fine if I could turn it off. Thanks! Ken
