Hi, I've traded in a 386PC for a IIcx but kept the Panasonic KX-P1124 printer. Where can I get drivers for 'ordinary' printers? E_Mail me and I will post the replies if they look useful. David Tocher, Dept of Maths University of Limerick Ireland

We've started migration towards system 7 here at EFF, and to allow for the fact that 2/5 of the users here are running 7.0, everyone's printer drivers have been upgraded to 7.0. Now here's the problem. Some of the users who *haven't* started running System 7.0 yet want to still use "background printing", which of right now, they can't use. Is there any quick fix to leave their systems running 6.0.(5/7), using the 7.0 printer drivers, and allow background printing? The macintosh-printing-tools.hqx (?) file in the dts/mac/sys.soft/truetype directory of ftp.apple.com has version 6.1 of LaserWriter and Backgrounder and PrintMonitor for 6.0.x users. This driver has a LaserPrep that is compatible with 7.0. pr -- Pete Resnick (...so what is a mojo, and why would one be rising?)
