There's been discussion over the last few days regarding the use of HD SC Setup to format non-Apple drives for use with system 7.0. I have a non-Apple (an APS) 40M Quantum drive that I would like to format using HD SC Setup. I know this drive is supported by HD SC Setup because I found the resource (using ResEdit) containing the table of supported drives (open the "%A5init" code resource and search for QUANTUM). This table lists the Quantum drive as "P40S 940-40-41xx". This is the same information v1.11 of Alliance Power Tools reports. However, when I launch HD SC Setup, the drive light blinks and HD SC Setup reports that there is not a valid drive connected (or something like that). What do I patch to get this working? Will erasing the drive (i.e. removing the old driver) help? System Information: Mac+ (2.5M) APS 40M Quantum Drive Alliance Power Tools (v1.11) System 6.0.5 assorted INIT's Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks, Todd.
