Hello all. I have only been reading this newsgroup for a few days. I have a couple of years of serious programming under my belt, and I want to get into the application development market, but one step at a time. I have decided on the following configuration, largely due to pricing, more than anything else. Macintosh Classic LC w color monitor Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Aldus Pagemaker Adobe Illustrator THINK C Programmers Extensions to THINK C v1&2 Programmers On-line Companion I need to know what versions of these packages I need to acquire for compatibility with System 7. I would also like to know about any C++ compilers that are available, and any sites which have GCC available for Mac.
